2004 Washington/Mon Valley
Southpointe CEO Association member Jim Donofrio, President of TruWin, Inc., was co-chair of the 2004 Washington/Mon Valley Heart Walk held on October 2, 2004 at Falconi Field in Washington, PA. The event brought together approximately 500 participants and raised over $75,000 for the American Heart Association. The heart walk is a non-competitive walking event that's geared to companies. Participants raise money to fight heart disease and stroke, then walk in the event. The top three companies that raised funds were: Washington Hospital, Canonsburg Hospital, and California University. The American Heart Association would like to thank all who contributed to making this event a huge success. The Health Club at Southpointe, a CEO Association member, was a co-sponsor for the Fun Run/Walk held on October 17, 2004. The event brought together 127 participants and over 30 volunteers to raise over $3,400 to benefit St. Clair Hospital new Outpatient Services facility. In addition to entertainment by the Scrub Band and refreshments, participants and non-participants were able to enjoy a health fair complete with bone density, cholesterol and glucose screenings, blood pressure, and BMI.
