In the world of industries there is constant motion. In pipelines and tubes, in tanks and channels. Water or oil, steam or gas - nothing remains in one place for long. Motion and flow are the driving forces of any system or plant, however large or small. This motion, however, is not left to chance. It is linked to logical operational processes which are controlled and regulated. Valves open and close or control flow and pressure according to the plant design.
Southpointe CEO Association's newest member, AUMA, manufactures electric actuators for valves and dampers. The Company's products can be found in many types of industrial facilities including water and wastewater treatment plants, electric power generating plants, refineries, chemical plants, mines and food and beverage plants. These facilities generally have processes that require the flow of large quantities of liquids and gases. While valves and dampers directly control the flow, the actuator provides the muscle to open and close the valve. In addition, the actuator acts as the interface to the plant's control system. As a result, the actuator is a critical component in many industrial facilities. Electric actuators manufactured by AUMA are capable of operating all types of quarterturn and multiturn valves and dampers. Actuators can be furnished for both open/close and modulating service. Integral motor controls and control accessories are available to interface with a wide variety of plant control systems including digital communication systems.
AUMA's worldwide network of sales and service centers extends to 39 countries. Its sales and service network in North America currently includes 8 regional offices in addition to 50 independent sales agents. The Company's philosophy is to work closely with its customers and provide local support. AUMA's Quality System has earned ISO9001 Registration from Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL). The Company's service department provides field service and shop service in addition to spare parts and training. AUMA's service capabilities are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. AUMA is located here in Southpointe at 100 Southpointe Boulevard and can be reached at 724-743-AUMA (2862) or check out their website at www.auma-usa.com for more information. |
