MEET THE BOARD



David Mariner, Ph.D.
Director of Program Development
Waynesburg University

David Mariner, Ph.D., Director of Program Development, began his career with Waynesburg University in 1999. He served in the admission office at the main campus prior to joining the graduate and professional division in 2002 located in Southpointe. He has helped to grow the division from less than 200 students to over 1,000 students. His passion continues to be helping students achieve their educational and career goals. He has served as a program director, assistant dean and dean prior to becoming the director of program development.

Dr. Mariner is also active in the community and serves on the Southpointe CEO Association Board, the Steering Committee for Comprehensive Planning in Waynesburg, the Comprehensive Planning Committee for Peters Township School District, and a board member for the Home Owners Association in the Overlook Community in Peters Township. In addition, Dr. Mariner is very active at the Bible Chapel where he is a member and serves as a teacher in the Pre-School Praise program.

Dr. Mariner earned a bachelor of science in chemistry from Westminster College, an MBA from Waynesburg University and a Ph. D in Instructional Management and Leadership from Robert Morris University. He resides in McMurray with his wife Julie and their three daughters: Ava, Isabella and Aliza.

2016 World Class CEO Award Honorees





On June 16th, The Southpointe CEO Association Honored Charles C. Keller, center, Founding Partner
& Senior Counsel at Peacock Keller & Ecker, LLP, and Douglas G. Lee, right, President, Waynesbur
University with the 2016 World Class CEO Award.

Dr. Stephanie Urchick, left, Executive Director of the Southpointe CEO Association,
also attended the event.

Congratulations also to Southpointe CEO Association Scholarship winners, Hannah Snowberger and
Evan Vent. Hannah and Evan received their awards during the 2016 World Class Chief Executive
Series Banquet. Hannah is completing a degree at Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas; Evan begins studies this fall at Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA.

World Class CEO Award.

Many members and guests enjoyed our 2014 Annual Wine and Chocolate Tasting at Jacksons Restaurant Bar

It was Golf Fitness expert Nancy Griffin helpin CEO Association members warm up before the Golf Swing Clinic with Southpointe Golf Club Pro Brent Johnson.

Members of the Southpointe CEO Association had a chat with Rice Energy CEO, Daniel Rice, during the Chairman's Forum on May 6.



Southpointe CEO Association members and friends enjoy the afternoon at DAY ON THE DECK at the Boulevard Pub and Kitchen. Special thanks to Board Member Dennis Allison fo his hospitality.

Southpointe CEO Association members gather around Lanny Frattare, who spoke to the group as part of the GET IN THE GAME - Leadership Lessons From the World of Sports Series. Scheduled next in the program is Missie Berteotti, LPGA Winner golfer.


Former Seattle Seahawk and current Vice President for Human Resources at All Clad, Dewayne Rideout, addressed the CEO Association on September 19.

He included information about programming that All Clad and other companies are doing in local school districts to engage students in "teaming" around real-life work issue


Southpointe CEO Chairman Kristian White welcomes Steve Blass to theGET IN THE GAME - Leadership Lessons from the World of Sports event.
Blass was the 'starting speaker' for the series.


On May 8th, Southpointe CEO Members enjoyed a Golf Fitness and Golf Swing Clinic. Southpointe Golf Pro Brent Johnson gives CEO Association Member Britt Freund of Bowles and Rice some individualized instruction.


"Breakfast Forum with Congressman Tim Murphy"that we held Tuesday, April 2nd at the Southpointe Golf Club. 23 members were in attendance.
